The Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salamé, received writer and director Jawad Al-Asadi and actor Rifaat Tarabay in his office at the Sanayeh National Library. Cultural issues, particularly those related to theater, were discussed.

Al-Asadi said: "I was delighted to meet Minister Salaméh, and it was a fruitful meeting. For me, the minister is a great cultural figure and an inspiring intellectual, and I expect him to play a major role in the development of culture in Lebanon. He has a penetrating vision and ambitious plans for a cultural renaissance."

He added: "This was an opportunity for me to discuss with him my plan to create a theater studio to train the new generation of young people who wish to pursue theater. I found him very interested and we agreed to pursue this topic in future meetings."
