The Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salamé, represented the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and the Prime Minister, Judge Nawaf Salam, at the funeral of the late Dr. Laila Farid Badoura, held at the Evangelical Church in downtown Beirut. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the political, educational, cultural, and social worlds.

It should be noted that the deceased, decorated with the National Order of the Cedar with the rank of Commander, was the widow of the late Charles Tanios Saad, former Member of Parliament for Beirut and prominent educator. She was also the former President of the International Schools of Choueifat and the SABIS Group.
