MINISTER OF CULTURE RECEIVES DONATION FOR COOLING SYSTEM FOR THE NATIONAL MUSEUM FROM SOUTH- KOREAN GOVERNMENT
The Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salamé, received in his office at the National Library in Sanayeh, the Ambassador of South Korea to Lebanon, Il Park, in the presence of the Director General of Antiquities, Engineer Sarkis Khoury, and the International Advisor, Engineer Jad Tabet.
The Ambassador's visit came within the framework of congratulating Minister Salamé on assuming his duties and wishing him success. During the meeting , ambassador Park delivered an official letter from the south korean government that included a donation of a cooling system for the National Museum to help preserve its valuable artifacts and archeological finds.
The Korean Ambassador noted that his country: "valued its relations with Lebanon and is committed to enhancing mutual cooperation in various cultural fields. South korea has previously participated in several cultural programs and looks forward to further achievements for the interest of both countries."
In turn, Minister Salamé thanked the south Korean government for the donation, hoping for further cooperation between Lebanon and south Korea in various cultural fields.
