The Minister of Culture Mr. Raymond Araygi received in his office yesterday, Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon his Excellency Mr. Jiang Jiang at the head of a delegation from the embassy in the presence of Dr. Walid Moussalem the President of the National Higher Conservatory of Music where they discussed the cooperation between both countries in various cultural affairs and the exchange of experiences.
In this context, the Chinese ambassador expressed his country's desire to provide a grant for the construction of a modern style Conservatory including a hall to host the spectacular musical performances of the Lebanese National Orchestra for Arabic-oriental music and the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra.
Minister Araygi has highly appreciated this initiative, and considered it a generous donation from China and promised to follow up the details with competent persons in order to achieve the desired goal.
