The Minister of Culture Raymond Araygi represented by the Acting General Director of Cultural Affairs Ms. Ifraz Hage launched the "Lebanon International Theater Festival" in the town of Nabatiyeh and Cinema Stars, in the presence of a large crowd of diplomatic, cultural and social events figures.

The festival  started with a carnival from the city center down to  "Cinema Stars", which coincided with its reopening 27 years later. This festival was the first in Nabatiyeh. Many local, Arab and Foreign Theater troupes participated at the event.
