The Minister of culture Mr. Raymond Araygi received at the National Museum, in the presence of the Director-General of Antiquities Mr. Sarkis Khoury, the Prime Minister of Italy Mr. Matteo Rinci, accompanied by Italian Ambassador  Mr. Massimo Maruti and the Director of the Italian Cooperation Center in Lebanon.
Mr. Araygi and  the Italian Prime Minister toured the museum, then the basement floor , where  the rehabilitation of a number of halls   funded by the Italian center is underway  . One of the halls has been converted to a permanent showroom for sarcophagus.
