The Minister of Culture Dr. Ghassan Salameh received in his office at the National Library - Sanayeh, the Director of the UNESCO Regional Office Ms. Constanza Farina, accompanied by the Cultural Program Officer, Engineer Joseph Kreidi, in the presence of the international advisor, architect Jad Tabet.

Discussions focused on the cooperation with the Ministry of Culture regarding Lebanese heritage sites inscribed on the World Heritage List, including the Rashid Karami exhibition in Tripoli and the Qadisha Valley.

At the end of the meeting, Farina said: "We came to congratulate the Minister on taking office. »

She also expressed UNESCO's willingness to provide its full support to His Excellency's distinguished cultural vision and informed the Minister of the upcoming visit of a UNESCO-Paris technical mission to southern Lebanon to assess the damage inflicted on archaeological sites.

She affirmed that the UNESCO look forward to future collaboration to revive Beirut as a center of culture and creativity.
